Art Class For Home school kids

Art in the Park - 23rd January 2026 - 9.30 - 11.30am

Art in the Park<br>We will meet at Bingara Pulse club in the main area at 9.15 for tea and coffee.<br>We will start creating at 9.30 - 11.30, starting with a short mindfullness meditation.<br>We can work inside or outside in the grassed area, with views of the golf course in front.<br>Bring your own art work, or I will have some simple supplies available if you are not sure what to do.<br>Come with an open mind to create, no experience necessary.<br>I am looking forward to connecting with our local community through shared creativity.<br>

Threads of Becoming Weaving Life’s Choices into Wearable & Hanging Stories

Sewing, threading, and weaving as metaphors for life’s choices, transitions, and connections. Participants create symbolic necklaces and/or small wall hangings using fabric scraps, threads, buttons, beads, lace, and found notions—each piece becoming a tactile story of movement, repair, and becoming.<br>Suitable for:<br>Adults • creatives • therapists • community groups • neurodivergent-affirming spaces<br>(No sewing experience required)<br>Therapeutic Intent<br> • Explore choice, agency, repair, and continuity<br> • Externalise inner narratives through hands-on making<br> • Support regulation through rhythmic, repetitive stitching<br> • Create meaning through symbolic assemblage<br>Therapeutic Outcomes<br>Participants will:<br> • Experience sewing and threading as grounding, regulating practices<br> • Reflect on life paths, crossroads, and moments of mending<br> • Create a personal talisman (necklace or hanging) representing their journey<br> • Strengthen self-compassion through visible imperfection and repair

For 1 hour, invest in your wellbeing.<br>We will connect with your issues or blocks, and work with these through art.<br>Access your sub conscious mind to uncover feelings that may be difficult to articulate.<br>Painting, drawing and sculpting is a great way to connect with your emotions and identify and regulate your emotions and build self-confidence by learning new responses and coping mechanisms for difficult feelings.
